Pick a cabin. The trail comes with it.
Each cabin sits at the end of its own marked trail, out of sight of the other two. Beds are made, the stove is laid, and the water tank is full when you arrive.
Slow days, planned only if you want them.
Nothing here is on a schedule you have to keep. Book at the lakeshore office or leave a note in the cabin log book before 8 pm.
Sunrise ridge walk
A ranger meets you at the Ridge A-Frame and walks the crest to the saddle viewpoint. Coffee in a flask included.

No streetlights for 30 km. We set up a telescope on the meadow and point out what is overhead.
FRI & SAT 10 PM · FREEFly-fishing lesson
Two hours on the outflow stream with a local guide. Rod, waders and a licence for the day are included.

Sourdough, valley cheese, eggs, fruit and ground coffee, carried to your deck the night before.

There is no road to the cabins. Drive to the lakeshore trailhead, check in at the office, and follow the colour markers of your trail.
Drive to Hollow Lake
About two hours from the city on the valley road. The last 9 km are graded gravel, fine for any car from May to October.
Park and check in
40 free spaces at the lakeshore trailhead. Pick up your key, a headlamp and the trail card at the office.
Send your bags up
Leave big bags at the office by 3 pm and we carry them to the cabin on the quad. Walk with a day pack only.
Follow your colour
Amber for Ridge, green for Tarn, coral for Fern. Markers every 100 m, reflective after dark.
Summer weekends fill by April.
