Every plant leaves with this card. Pick one, water it, feed it, and watch it move through the five stages our bench uses. Thirsty plants stall; a dry one can be lost — which is exactly what the card is for.
Four questions, one colour.
We ask these at the counter anyway. Answer them here and the colour in the glass travels towards the palette we would tie for you — then take the three shades straight into your order.
We carry it by hand.
Bouquets travel upright in water bags, plants in a padded crate. Our own riders cover the city; everything further goes out with a next-day florist courier.

A greenhouse that happens to sell things.
TERRARIUM CO started in 2015 as two benches and a leaking cold frame behind a bicycle shop. We wanted somewhere you could buy a plant and be told the truth about it: how often it drinks, how much light it actually needs, and what it will look like in a year.
The bell jar on the counter is where the week starts. Every Tuesday morning four cultivars go under the glass, and whatever is under there is what the bouquets are built around until Saturday.
We grow about a third of what we sell in the back glasshouse, buy the rest from four growers within ninety minutes of here, and re-pot everything ourselves before it goes on the shelf.

Four minutes from Glasshouse Quarter station, under the green awning. Step-free entrance, water bowl by the door, and the back glasshouse is open to look around whenever Jonas is in it.

How late can I order for same-day delivery?
Before 14:00 for the Glasshouse Quarter and before 11:00 for the outer districts. After that we move you to the next morning run and tell you straight away, not at 18:00.
Will the bouquet look like the photo on the site?
Close, never identical — we build around whatever went under the bell jar on Tuesday. We photograph every finished bouquet and send it to you before it leaves, so you can change it while it is still on the bench.
What happens if a plant dies in the first month?
Bring it back with the care card. If it was a growing fault on our side we replace it; if it was watering we re-pot it, show you what went wrong and only charge for the soil.
Do you do weddings, offices and events?
Weddings from March to October, four a month at most. Offices are a standing order with a fixed weekly budget from $45. Email hello@terrariumco.example with the date and the room.
